Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: Tacit and Explicit Testimony as proof of abu al-Hassan al-Rida’s (a.s.) Divine Authority over the people after abu al-Hassan Musa (a.s.) َّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ الاشْعَثِ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ زُرْبِيٍّ قَالَ جِئْتُ إِلَى أَبِي إِبْرَاهِي٠َ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠َالٍ فَأَخَذَ بَعْضَهُ وَتَرَكَ بَعْضَهُ فَقُلْتُ أَصْلَحَكَ الله لايِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ تَرَكْتَهُ عِنْدِي قَالَ إِنَّ صَاحِبَ هَذَا الا٠َّا جَاءَنَا نَعْيُهُ بَعَثَ إِلَيَّ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) ابْنُهُ فَسَأَلَنِي ذَلِكَ الْ٠َالَ فَدَفَعْتُهُ إِلَيْهِ‏.

I asked him, “May Allah keep you well, why have you left it with me?” He said, “The in charge of this task (Leadership with Divine Authority) will demand it from you.” When we heard the news of his (abu Ibrahim’s) death, abu al-Hassan sent his son to me asking for that property and I delivered it to him.” يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) كالسابق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/346))
