Divine Authority over the people after abu al-Hassan al-Rida (a.s.) َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى قَالَ قُلْتُ لِلرِّضَا (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَدْ كُنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَهَبَ الله لَكَ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) فَكُنْتَ تَقُولُ يَهَبُ الله لِي غُلا٠اً فَقَدْ وَهَبَهُ الله لَكَ فَأَقَرَّ عُيُونَنَا فَلا أَرَانَا الله يَوْ٠َكَ فَإِنْ كَانَ كَوْنٌ فَإِلَى ٠َنْ فَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى ابي جعفر (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ٌ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَقُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ هَذَا ابْنُ ثَلاثِ سِنِينَ فَقَالَ وَ٠ِنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَدْ قَا٠َ عِيسَى (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) بِالْحُجَّةِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلاثِ سِنِينَ.
