Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The Whole Earth belongs to the Imam (a.s.) َّدٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الرَّيَّانِ قَالَ كَتَبْتُ إِلَى الْعَسْكَرِيِّ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ رُوِيَ لَنَا أَنْ لَيْسَ لِرَسُولِ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) ٠ِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلا الْخُ٠ُسُ فَجَاءَ الْجَوَابُ إِنَّ الدُّنْيَا وَ٠َا عَلَيْهَا لِرَسُولِ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه ) 6.

Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn al-Rayyan who has said the following.

“I wrote to abu Muhammad, al-Hassan, al-‘Askari (a.s.), May Allah take my soul in service for your cause, it is narrated to us that nothing else from this world belongs to the Messenger of Allah except one fifth of net income.” The answer that came said, “Certainly, the world and all that is in it belong to the Messenger of Allah.” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (4/352)) يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi)
