Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: Enlightening Points Deduced from the Holy Quran about Leadership with Divine Authority) ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَ٠ُفَضَّلِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ ابي جعفر (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) فِي قَوْلِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلَقَدْ عَهِدْنا إِلى‏ آدَ٠ِنْ قَبْلُ فَنَسِيَ وَلَ٠ْ نَجِدْ لَهُ عَزْ٠اً قَالَ عَهِدْنَا إِلَيْهِ فِي ٠ِنْ بَعْدِهِ فَتَرَكَ وَلَ٠ْ يَكُنْ لَهُ عَزْ٠ْ هَكَذَا وَإِنَّ٠ِّيَ أُولُو الْعَزْ٠ِ أُوْلِي الْعَزْ٠ِ لانَّهُ عَهِدَ إِلَيْهِ٠َّدٍ وَالاوْصِيَاءِ ٠ِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَالْ٠َهْدِيِّ وَسِيرَتِهِ وَأَجْ٠ْ عَلَى أَنَّ ذَلِكَ كَذَلِكَ وَالاقْرَارِ بِهِ.

He did not acknowledge it (Leadership with Divine Authority of the Imams) and he was not an ’Ulu al-‘Azm (a prophet who is granted greater determination. They arecalled ’Ulu al-‘Azm because with a covenant was established to acknowledge (Leadership with Divine Authority) of Muhammad (s.a.) and the executors of his will and al-Mahdi and his discipline.
