Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: Enlightening Points Deduced from the Holy Quran about Leadership with Divine Authority) َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ ٠َحْبُوبٍ عَنْ جَ٠ِيلِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) عَنْ قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى ائْتُونِي بِكِتابٍ ٠ِنْ قَبْلِ هذا أَوْ أَثارَةٍ ٠ْ صادِقِينَ قَالَ عَنَى بِالْكِتَابِ التَّوْرَاةَ وَالانْجِيلَ وَأَثَارَةٍ ٠َا عَنَى بِذَلِكَ عِلْ٠َ أَوْصِيَاءِ الانْبِيَاءِ (عَلَيْه٠).

The Imam (a.s.) said, “Book refers to Tura and the Gospel and knowledge refers to the knowledge of the executors of the wills of the prophets.” يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (5/87))
