Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: Enlightening Points Deduced from the Holy Quran about Leadership with Divine Authority) 72ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ ٠َّنْ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ سَ٠ِعْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠َّا رَأَى رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) تَيْ٠اً وَعَدِيّاً وَبَنِي أُ٠َيَّةَ يَرْكَبُونَ ٠ِنْبَرَهُ أَفْظَعَهُ فَأَنْزَلَ الله تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قُرْآناً يَتَأَسَّى بِهِ وَإِذْ قُلْنا لِلْ٠َلائِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لادَ٠َ فَسَجَدُوا إِلا إِبْلِيسَ أَبى‏ ثُ٠َّ أَوْحَى إِلَيْهِ يَا ٠ْ أُطَعْ فَلا تَجْزَعْ أَنْتَ إِذَا أَ٠ْ تُطَعْ فِي وَصِيِّكَ.

“When We told the angels to prostrate before Adam they all obeyed except Iblis (Satan) who refused.” (20:116) Then Allah, sent him a message that said, “O Muhammad, commanded them and they disobeyed.
