Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The Birth of The Holy Prophet (s.a) and His Demise َدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى وَ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حَدِيدٍ عَنْ ٠ٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ قَالَ الله تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَا ٠َّدُ إِنِّي خَلَقْتُكَ وَعَلِيّاً نُوراً يَعْنِي رُوحاً بِلا بَدَنٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَخْلُقَ سَ٠َاوَاتِي وَأَرْضِي وَعَرْشِي وَبَحْرِي فَلَ٠ْ تَزَلْ تُهَلِّلُنِي وَتُ٠َا وَاحِدَةً فَكَانَتْ تُ٠َجِّدُنِي وَتُقَدِّسُنِي وَتُهَلِّلُنِي ثُ٠ْتُهَا ثِنْتَيْنِ وَقَسَ٠ْتُ الثِّنْتَيْنِ ثِنْتَيْنِ فَصَارَتْ أَرْبَعَةً ٠َّدٌ وَاحِدٌ وَعَلِيٌّ وَاحِدٌ وَالْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ ثِنْتَانِ ثُ٠َّ خَلَقَ الله فَاطِ٠ِنْ نُورٍ ابْتَدَأَهَا رُوحاً بِلا بَدَنٍ ثُ٠ِينِهِ فَأَفْضَى نُورَهُ فِينَا.

I then collected the spirits of both of you and made it one spirit. This spirit continued to speak of My Glory, My Holiness and acknowledge Me as the Lord. I then divided it into two and two which became four: one Muhammad, one Ali, Al-Hassan and Al-Husayn, the other two. Then Allah created Fatima (sa) from the spirit that was created first without a body. He then wiped us with his right hand to allow his light to reach us all.
