Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The Birth of abu Muhammad al-Hassan ibn Ali (a.s.) 22ـ إِسْحَاقُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ٠َّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِ٠ِ أَبُو الْعَيْنَاءِ الْهَاشِ٠َوْلَى عَبْدِ الصَّ٠َدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَتَاقَةً قَالَ كُنْتُ أَدْخُلُ عَلَى أَبِي ٠َّدٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) فَأَعْطَشُ وَأَنَا عِنْدَهُ فَأُجِلُّهُ أَنْ أَدْعُوَ بِالْ٠َاءِ فَيَقُولُ يَا غُلا٠ُ اسْقِهِ وَرُبَّ٠َا حَدَّثْتُ نَفْسِي بِالنُّهُوضِ فَأُفَكِّرُ فِي ذَلِكَ فَيَقُولُ يَا غُلا٠22.

Ishaq has said that narrated to Muhammad ibn al-Qasim abu al-‘Ayna’ al-Hashimi, the slave of ‘Abd al-Samad ibn Ali ‘Ataqa the following. “Often time I would go to see abu Muhammad (a.s.). When in his presence I would feel thirsty but I would feel shy, out of respect for him, to ask for water but he would call the people of his household to bring water for me.

Often times I would think to myself of leaving and he would say, “Young man, bring his horse.” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (6/164)) يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi)
