Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The Fay’, al-Anfal, al-Khums, its rules and the properties subject to al-Khums 23ـ سَهْلُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ قَالَ سَرَّحَ الرِّضَا (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) بِصِلَةٍ إِلَى أَبِي فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ أَبِي هَلْ عَلَيَّ فِي٠َا سَرَّحْتَ إِلَيَّ خُ٠ُسٌ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ لا خُ٠ُسَ عَلَيْكَ فِي٠َا سَرَّحَ بِهِ صَاحِبُ الْخُ٠23.

Sahl ibn Ziyad has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Ali ibn al-Husayn ibn ‘Abd Rabbihi who has said the following.

“Al-Rida (a.s.) sent a gift to my father and my father wrote to him, “Is there al-Khums on the gift you just sent to me?” He wrote back to him in answer, “There is no al-Khums on the gift that the recipient of al-Khums has sent to you.” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (6/281)) يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi)
