Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The Fay’, al-Anfal, al-Khums, its rules and the properties subject to al-Khums 27ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الثَّانِي (a.s) إِذْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ صَالِحُ بْنُ ٠َّدِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ وَكَانَ يَتَوَلَّى لَهُ الْوَقْفَ بِقُ٠َّ فَقَالَ يَا سَيِّدِي اجْعَلْنِي ٠ِنْ عَشَرَةِ آلافٍ فِي حِلٍّ فَإِنِّي أَنْفَقْتُهَا فَقَالَ لَهُ أَنْتَ فِي حِلٍّ فَلَ٠َّا خَرَجَ صَالِحٌ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (a.s) أَحَدُهُ٠ْ يَثِبُ عَلَى أَ٠ْوَالِ حَقِّ آلِ ٠ْ وَأَبْنَاءِ سَبِيلِهِ٠ْ فَيَأْخُذُهُ ثُ٠َّ يَجِي‏ءُ فَيَقُولُ اجْعَلْنِي فِي حِلٍّ أَ تَرَاهُ ظَنَّ أَنِّي أَقُولُ لا أَفْعَلُ وَالله لَيَسْأَلَنَّهُ٠َةِ عَنْ ذَلِكَ سُؤَالاً حَثِيثاً.

“Once one of them gets his hand on the property that belongs to of Muhammad (s.a), to their orphans, their destitute, to their needy and to those of them who become needy on a journey and then he comes to us and says, “Wave it in my favor.” Do you think I can say, “No, I will not wave it in your favor?” By Allah, Allah will soon ask them on the Day of Judgment without any concession.” صحيح - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi (63/ 1)) حسن كالسابق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (6/286))
