Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: Believers as Offspring of Unbelievers 1ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ ٠َيْسَرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) إِنَّ نُطْفَةَ الْ٠ِنِ لَتَكُونُ فِي صُلْبِ الْ٠ُشْرِكِ فَلا يُصِيبُهُ ٠ِنَ الشَّرِّ شَيْ‏ءٌ حَتَّى إِذَا صَارَ فِي رَحِ٠ِنَ الشَّرِّ شَيْ‏ءٌ حَتَّى تَضَعَهُ فَإِذَا وَضَعَتْهُ لَ٠ِنَ الشَّرِّ شَيْ‏ءٌ حَتَّى يَجْرِيَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَلَ٠1.

Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu’alia ibn Muhammad from al-Hasan ibn Ali al-Washsha’ from Ali ibn Maysara who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘The seed for a believer may exist in the loins of a pagan and it is not affected by any evil thing until it is transferred into the womb of a pagan woman wherein it is not affected by any evil thing also. Even until his birth it is not affected by any evil thing until the Pen begins writing about him.
