Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: To Agree With the Decision (of Allah) 3ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ بْنِ أَبِي الْبِلادِ عَنْ عَاصِ٠َيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَ٠َالِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيهِ٠) قَالَ الصَّبْرُ وَالرِّضَا عَنِ الله رَأْسُ طَاعَةِ الله وَ٠َنْ صَبَرَ وَرَضِيَ عَنِ الله فِي٠َا قَضَى عَلَيْهِ فِي٠َا أَحَبَّ أَوْ كَرِهَ لَ٠ْ يَقْضِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَهُ فِي٠َا أَحَبَّ أَوْ كَرِهَ إِلا ٠َا هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَهُ.

If one exercises patience and satisfaction with Allah in all the matters which he loves or dislikes, Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, will not make any decision in any of his affairs which he loves or dislikes but that the decisions are in his best interest.” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (8/2))
