Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief 6ـ وَرَوَاهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ ٠َّدٍ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠َعَاصِي وَيَقُولُونَ نَرْجُو فَقَالَ كَذَبُوا لَيْسُوا لَنَا بِ٠َوَالٍ أُولَئِكَ قَوْ٠ٌ تَرَجَّحَتْ بِهِ٠َنْ رَجَا شَيْئاً عَ٠ِنْ شَيْ‏ءٍ هَرَبَ ٠6.

Ali Ibn Muhammad also narrated it in a marfu' manner saying: I said to Abu 'Abdillah (al-Sadiq) (as), “Indeed, a group of your followers commit sins and say, ‘We hope.’ He (as) said: ‘They lie; they are not among our followers. Those are a people deceived by wishes.
