Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: Restraint from Worldly Matters (Sins) 13ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ ٠َحْبُوبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ رِئَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ إِنَّا لا نَعُدُّ الرَّجُلَ ٠ِناً حَتَّى يَكُونَ لِجَ٠ُرِيداً أَلا وَإِنَّ ٠ِنِ اتِّبَاعِ أَ٠ْرِنَا وَإِرَادَتِهِ الْوَرَعَ فَتَزَيَّنُوا بِهِ يَرْحَ٠ُ الله وَكَبِّدُوا أَعْدَاءَنَا بِهِ يَنْعَشْكُ٠13.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn Mahbub from ibn Ri’ab from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “We do not consider a person a believer until that person follows us in all of our orders and has firmly decided to do so. The decision to exercise restraint against worldly matters consists of following our orders and commands. You must have this beautiful quality. May Allah grant you blessings.
