Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief 2ـ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنِ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ فُضَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ الصَّبْرُ ٠َنْزِلَةِ الرَّأْسِ ٠ِنَ الْجَسَدِ فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ الرَّأْسُ ذَهَبَ الْجَسَدُ كَذَلِكَ إِذَا ذَهَبَ الصَّبْرُ ذَهَبَ الإي٠2.

Abu Ali al-Ash’ari has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn Sinan from al-‘Ala’ ibn Fudayl from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Patience is to belief as the head is to the body. If the head is gone the body is also destroyed.
