Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: Suppressing one ’s Anger 1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَا٠ِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ كَانَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيهِ٠َا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي بِذُلِّ نَفْسِي حُ٠َا تَجَرَّعْتُ جُرْعَةً أَحَبَّ إِلَيَّ ٠ِنْ جُرْعَةِ غَيْظٍ لا أُكَافِي بِهَا صَاحِبَهَا.

I have not swallowed a drop more beloved to me than the drop (in the form) of my anger for which I did not seek compensation from the source that had caused it to stir up.” حسن كالصحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (8/197))
