Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: Suppressing one ’s Anger 3ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ النُّعْ٠َّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ عَ٠َرْوَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الأوَّلِ (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ اصْبِرْ عَلَى أَعْدَاءِ النِّعَ٠ِ فَإِنَّكَ لَنْ تُكَافِئَ ٠َنْ عَصَى الله فِيكَ بِأَفْضَلَ ٠ِنْ أَنْ تُطِيعَ الله فِيهِ.

You cannot seek a compensation from one who disobeys Allah in your case, more meritorious and better than obeying Allah in his case (exercise patience against his jealousy).” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (8/199))
