Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: Love for the Sake of Allah and Hate for the Sake of Allah َالِكِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الأعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠ِنْ أَوْثَقِ عُرَى الإي٠َانِ أَنْ تُحِبَّ فِي الله وَتُبْغِضَ فِي الله وَتُعْطِيَ فِي الله وَتَ٠2.

Ibn Mahbub has narrated from Malik ibn ‘Atiyah from Sa’id al-A’raj from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The strongest ring of belief to hold onto is to love for the sake of Allah and hate for the sake of Allah, to give for the sake of Allah and deny for the sake of Allah.” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (8/257))
