Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: Promptness in Good Deeds َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْجَارُودِ قَالَ سَ٠ِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠ِنَ الْخَيْرِ فَلْيُعَجِّلْهُ فَإِنَّ كُلَّ شَيْ‏ءٍ فِيهِ تَأْخِيرٌ فَإِنَّ لِلشَّيْطَانِ فِيهِ نَظْرَةً. 9.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Sinan from abu al-Jarud who has said the following: “I heard abu Ja’far (a.s.) say, ‘Whoever intends to perform a good deed he should do it without delay; Satan keeps an eye on anything that is delayed.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (8/337))
