Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfali from al-Sakuni from Abu âAbdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: âAbu âAbd Allah (a.s.) has said, âIt is of tradition and virtue to adopt al-Kunyah (like abuâ meaning father of or âIbnâ) of the name of oneâs father.ââ Ø´ÙÙØ± - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (8/427))
