A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn abu Nasr from Safwan al-Jammal from abu âUbaydah al- Hadhdhaâ who has said the following: âOnce I was a partner of abu Jaâfar (a.s.) on a journey on one side of the carriage on the camel from Madina to Makka. On the way he dismounted for rest and, when he returned, he asked me for a handshake. He squeezed my hand so hard that my fingers began to hurt.
He then said, âO abu âUbaydah, when two Muslims meet, shake hands and crisscross their fingers, their sins begin to fall from them like leaves fall from trees on a fall day.ââ Ø´ÙÙر بسÙÙ Ù Ùا Ùضر عÙد٠ضعÙÙ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (9/64))
