Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: The Excellence of the Poor Muslims 5ـ وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) لَوْ لا إِلْحَاحُ الْ٠ِنِينَ عَلَى الله فِي طَلَبِ الرِّزْقِ لَنَقَلَهُ٠ِنَ الْحَالِ الَّتِي هُ٠ْ فِيهَا إِلَى حَالٍ أَضْيَقَ ٠5.

Through his chain of narrators (Ali ibn Ibrahim) has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Had it not been due to the believers’ pleading before Allah to increase their sustenance, He would have moved them to a poorer condition.’” رسل - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (9/358))
