Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: The Excellence of the Poor Muslims 22ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَا٠ٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠ِنِينَ (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) الْفَقْرُ أَزْيَنُ لِلْ٠ِنَ الْعِذَارِ عَلَى خَدِّ الْفَرَسِ. 22.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn Salim from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Amir al-Mu’minin, Ali ibn abu Talib (a.s.) has said, ‘Poverty is more beautifying for the believers than the best decorated harness with ornament is for the head of a horse.’” حسن كالصحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (9/372))
