A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Jaâfar ibn Muhammad al-Ashâari from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following: âOnce Abu âAbdillah (a.s.) said to âAbbad ibn Kathir al-Basri in the Mosque, âWoe upon you, O âAbbad, you must never show off; whoever works for someone other than Allah, He will assign him to that for which he has worked.ââ ضعÙÙ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (10/87))
