Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief 5ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ أَتَى رَسُولَ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ الله أَنَا فُلانُ بْنُ فُلانٍ حَتَّى عَدَّ تِسْعَةً فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) أَ٠َا إِنَّكَ عَاشِرُهُ٠5.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfali from al-Sakuni from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Once a man came to the Messenger of Allah and said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, I am so and so son of so and so counting (boastfully) up to nine generations.’ The Messenger of Allah said, ‘You are the tenth of them in the fire.’” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (10/290))
