Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: Abandonment and Desertion َيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ٠َاعَةَ عَنْ وُهَيْبِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَصْرِ٠ُ ذَوِي قَرَابَتِهِ ٠َّنْ لا يَعْرِفُ الْحَقَّ قَالَ لا يَنْبَغِي لَهُ أَنْ يَصْرِ٠3.

Hamid ibn Ziyad has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad ibn Sama’a from Wuhayb ibn Hafs from abu Basir who has said the following: “Once I asked Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) about a man who has forsaken his relatives who do not recognize the truth.’ The Imam said, ‘It is not proper for him to abandon them.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (10/360))
