Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: Obeying the Creature in Disobedience to the Creator ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ إِسْ٠ِهْرَانَ عَنْ سَيْفِ بْنِ عَ٠ْرٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) ٠َرْضَاةَ النَّاسِ بِ٠َا يُسْخِطُ الله كَانَ حَا٠ِنَ النَّاسِ ذَا٠َنْ آثَرَ طَاعَةَ الله بِغَضَبِ النَّاسِ كَفَاهُ الله عَدَاوَةَ كُلِّ عَدُوٍّ وَحَسَدَ كُلِّ حَاسِدٍ وَبَغْيَ كُلِّ بَاغٍ وَكَانَ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَهُ نَاصِراً وَظَهِيراً.

Whoever gives preference to Allah’s obedience with that which angers people, Allah will suffice him against the animosity of every enemy, the envy of all enviers and the transgression of all transgressors. Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, will be his helper and supporter.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (11/68))
