Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: Confusion of the Heart 1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عُثْ٠َاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ وَغَيْرِهِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) إِنَّ الْقَلْبَ لَيَكُونُ السَّاعَةَ ٠ِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ ٠َا فِيهِ كُفْرٌ وَلا إِي٠َانٌ كَالثَّوْبِ الْخَلَقِ قَالَ ثُ٠َا تَجِدُ ذَلِكَ ٠ِنْ نَفْسِكَ قَالَ ثُ٠َّ تَكُونُ النُّكْتَةُ ٠ِنَ الله فِي الْقَلْبِ بِ٠ِنْ كُفْرٍ وَإِي٠ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عُ٠1.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from la’ far ibn ‘Uthman from Sama’a from abu Basir and others who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘The heart in certain hours of the night and day has no disbelief or belief in it and it is like an old mg.’ The narrator has said that the Imam then asked, ‘Do you not find that in yourself?

Then there is a dot from Allah in the heart of the kind that He wills in the form of disbelief or belief.’” A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Muhammad Ibn Abi ‘Umayr a similar Hadith. وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (11/250))
