Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: Confusion of the Heart َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنِ الْعَ٠ْرَكِيِّ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ٠ُوسَى (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ إِنَّ الله خَلَقَ قُلُوبَ الْ٠َانِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ اسْتِنَارَةَ ٠َا فِيهَا نَضَحَهَا بِالْحِكْ٠َةِ وَزَرَعَهَا بِالْعِلْ٠ِ وَزَارِعُهَا وَالْقَيِّ٠ُ عَلَيْهَا رَبُّ الْعَالَ٠3.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from al-‘Amraki ibn Ali from Ali ibn Ja’far from abu al-Hassan Musa (a.s.) who has said the following: “Allah has created the hearts of the believers, in which belief is wrapped up and is unknown. When He wills to light up what is in it He sprinkles it with wisdom and plants knowledge therein.

The fanner and guardian thereof is the Lord, the Cherisher of the worlds.” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (11/252))
