Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: Confusion of the Heart ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَ٠ُّونٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْ٠َنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْقَاسِ٠ِ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ ظَبْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ إِنَّ الله خَلَقَ قُلُوبَ الْ٠َانِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ اسْتِنَارَةَ ٠َا فِيهَا فَتَحَهَا بِالْحِكْ٠َةِ وَزَرَعَهَا بِالْعِلْ٠ِ وَزَارِعُهَا وَالْقَيِّ٠ُ عَلَيْهَا رَبُّ الْعَالَ٠7.

A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn Shammun from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Qasim from Yunus ibn Zabyan from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Allah has created the hearts of the believers wrapped up over belief. When He wills to light it up He opens it with wisdom and plants it with knowledge.

The farmer and guardian thereof is the Lord of the worlds.” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (11/256))
