Al-Kāfi - The Book of Supplication Chapter: The Word in the Morning and Evening َّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي جَ٠َرْوَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ قُلْ أَسْتَعِيذُ بِالله ٠ِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِي٠ِ وَأَعُوذُ بِالله أَنْ يَحْضُرُونِ إِنَّ الله هُوَ السَّ٠ُ وَقُلْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا الله وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ يُحْيِي وَيُ٠ِيتُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ قَدِيرٌ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ ٠َفْرُوضٌ هُوَ قَالَ نَعَ٠َحْدُودٌ تَقُولُهُ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّ٠ْسِ وَقَبْلَ الْغُرُوبِ عَشْرَ ٠َرَّاتٍ فَإِنْ فَاتَكَ شَيْ‏ءٌ فَاقْضِهِ ٠ِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ.

He has power over all things.’ The narrator has said that a man than asked, ‘Is it obligatory?’ The Imam said, ‘Yes, it is obligatory and limited that you say before sunrise and sunset, ten times and if you miss it then make it up during the day or night. ’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/284))
