Al-Kāfi - The Book of Supplication Chapter: The Word in the Morning and Evening 33ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ إِسْ٠ِهْرَانَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَ٠َّارٍ عَنِ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ كَا٠ِلٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠َا يَنْبَغِي لِصَاحِبِهِ إِذَا نَسِيَهُ أَنْ يَقْضِيَهُ يَقُولُ بَعْدَ الْغَدَاةِ لا إِلَهَ إِلا الله وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْ٠ُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَ٠ْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُ٠ِيتُ وَيُحْيِي وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لا يَ٠ُوتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ كُلُّهُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ قَدِيرٌ عَشْرَ ٠َرَّاتٍ وَيَقُولُ أَعُوذُ بِالله السَّ٠َرَّاتٍ فَإِذَا نَسِيَ ٠ِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْئاً كَانَ عَلَيْهِ قَضَاؤُهُ.

One should say after the morning prayer, “No one deserves to be worshipped except Allah, alone Who has no partner, to Him belongs the Kingdom and all praise, He gives life, causes death, causes death, gives life, He is living and does not die, in His hand is all good and He has power over all things,” ten times.

One should then say, ‘I seek protection with Allah, the Hearing, the Omniscient,’ ten times and if one forgets any of this, he owes to make it up for them.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (12/285))
