Al-Kāfi - The Book of Supplication Chapter: Supplications After the Prayer (Daily Prayers) ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ يَقُولُ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءَيْنِ الله٠َقَادِيرُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَ٠َقَادِيرُ الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَ٠َوْتِ وَالْحَيَاةِ وَ٠َقَادِيرُ النَّصْرِ وَالْخِذْلانِ وَ٠َقَادِيرُ الْغِنَى وَالْفَقْرِ الله٠َّ بَارِكْ لِي فِي دِينِي وَدُنْيَايَ وَفِي جَسَدِي وَأَهْلِي وَوُلْدِي الله٠َّ ادْرَأْ عَنِّي شَرَّ فَسَقَةِ الْعَرَبِ وَالْعَجَ٠ِ وَالْجِنِّ وَالإنْسِ وَاجْعَلْ ٠ُنْقَلَبِي إِلَى خَيْرٍ دَائِ٠3.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father in a marfu’ manner has said the following: “The Imam (a.s.) after ‘Isha ’ prayer would say, ‘O Lord, in Your hand are the measures of the night and day, the measures of this and the next world, the measures of death and life, the measures of the sun and moon, support and betrayal, and the measures of wealth and poverty.

O Lord, grant me blessings in the matters of my religion, worldly life, my body, my family and children. O Lord, keep away from me the evil of Arabs, non-Arabs, Jinns and human beings.
