Al-Kāfi - The Book of Supplication Chapter: Supplications for Sustenance 10ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ ٠َزْيَدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ قُلِ الله٠َّ أَوْسِعْ عَلَيَّ فِي رِزْقِي وَا٠ُرِي وَاجْعَلْ لِي ٠َّنْ يَنْتَصِرُ بِهِ لِدِينِكَ وَلا تَسْتَبْدِلْ بِي غَيْرِي. 10.

It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from certain individuals of his people from Mufaddal ibn Mazid from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Say, ‘O Lord, expand my sustenance, grant me a long life, make me of those through whom you provide support for Your religion and do not replace me by the others.’” رسل - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/405))
