Al-Kāfi - The Book of Supplication Chapter: Supplications for Healing Ailments and Diseases 16ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَبِي حَ٠ْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠َرِضَ عَلِيٌّ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) فَأَتَاهُ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) فَقَالَ لَهُ قُلِ الله٠َّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ تَعْجِيلَ عَافِيَتِكَ وَصَبْراً عَلَى بَلِيَّتِكَ وَخُرُوجاً إِلَى رَحْ٠16.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from certain individuals of his people from abu Hamza from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following: “Once, Amir al-Mu’minin, Ali ibn abu Talib (a.s.) became ill.

The Messenger of Allah visited him and said, ‘Say, O Lord, I plead before You for a quick recovery, (the ability to have) patience with misfortune from You and coming out of it into Your favors and mercy.” رسل - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/434))
