Al-Kāfi - The Book of Supplication Chapter: Concise Supplications for Worldly Needs and the Hereafter 29 - وبهذا الاسناد، عن يعقوب بن شعيب، عن أبي عبد الله (عليه السلا٠ن دعائه يقول: " يا نور يا قدوس يا أول الأولين ويا آخر الآخرين يا رح٠اغفر لي الذنوب التي تغير النع٠واغفر لي الذنوب التي تحل النق٠واغفر لي الذنوبالتي تهتك العص٠واغفر لي الذنوب التي تنزل البلاء واغفر لي الذنوب التي تديل الأعداء واغفر لي الذنوب التي تعجل الفناء واغفر لي الذنوب التي تقطع الرجاء واغفر لي الذنوب التي تظل٠الهواء واغفر لي الذنوب التي تكشف الغطاء واغفر لي الذنوب التي ترد الدعاء واغفر لي الذنوب التي ترد غيث الس٠29.

Through the same chain of narrators it is narrated from Ya’qub ibn Shu’ayb from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “O light, O Holy, O the First of the beings in the beginning, O the Last of the beings of the later times, O the Beneficent, O the Merciful, forgive my such sins that change the bounties, forgive my such sins that bring in misfortunes, forgive my such sins that crush the protections, forgive my such sins that send down evil conditions, forgive my such sins that assist the enemy, forgive my such sins that hasten destruction, forgive my such sins that cut off hope, forgive my such sins that darken the space, forgive my such sins that remove the cover and grace, forgive my such sins that repulse the prayer and forgive my such sins that turn away the rain from the sky.” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (12/465))
