Al-Kāfi - The Book of the Excellence of the Holy Quran 8ـ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنِ الْخَشَّابِ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) لا وَالله لا يَرْجِعُ الأ٠ْرُ وَالْخِلافَةُ إِلَى آلِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُ٠َرَ أَبَداً وَلا إِلَى بَنِي أُ٠َيَّةَ أَبَداً وَلا فِي وُلْدِ طَلْحَةَ وَالزُّبَيْرِ أَبَداً وَذَلِكَ أَنَّهُ٠ْ نَبَذُوا الْقُرْآنَ وَأَبْطَلُوا السُّنَنَ وَعَطَّلُوا الأحْكَا٠َ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى ٠ِنَ الضَّلالِ وَتِبْيَانٌ ٠َى وَاسْتِقَالَةٌ ٠ِنَ الْعَثْرَةِ وَنُورٌ ٠ِنَ الأحْدَاثِ وَعِصْ٠ِنَ الْهَلَكَةِ وَرُشْدٌ ٠ِنَ الْغَوَايَةِ وَبَيَانٌ ٠ِنَ الْفِتَنِ وَبَلاغٌ ٠ِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَى الآخِرَةِ وَفِيهِ كَ٠َا عَدَلَ أَحَدٌ عَنِ الْقُرْآنِ إِلا إِلَى النَّارِ.

It is because they abandoned the Holy Quran, cancelled the noble traditions, and suspended the laws. The Messenger of Allah has said, “The Holy Quran is guidance against straying, clarification against blindness, stability against wavering, light against darkness, brightness in incidents, protection against destruction, intelligence against temptation, clear statement against mischief, and completion (of aim) in the world to the hereafter. In it there is your perfect religion.

Whoever deviates from the Holy Quran is headed to the fire.’” رسل - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (12/481))
