Al-Kāfi - The Book of the Excellence of the Holy Quran Chapter: Within What Period of Time the Holy Quran Should be Read and Completed?

1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَ٠َّادٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله قَالَ قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) أَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ قَالَ لا يُعْجِبُنِي أَنْ تَقْرَأَهُ فِي أَقَلَّ ٠1.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad from al-Husayn ibn al-Mukhtar from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Allah who has said the following: “Once I asked Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) ‘Can I read the Holy Quran in one night?’ The Imam said, ‘I do not like your reading it in less than a month’s time.’” وثق على الظاهر - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/504))
