Sahl ibn Ziyad has narrated from Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Ash’ari from ibn al- Qaddah from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “A person riding should offer greetings of peace to the one walking on foot and the one standing should offer greetings of peace to the one sitting.” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (12/543))
