Al-Kāfi - The Book of Social Manners Chapter: Boundaries of Neighborhood 1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠ُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَ٠ْرِو بْنِ عِكْرِ٠َةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) كُلُّ أَرْبَعِينَ دَاراً جِيرَانٌ ٠ِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَ٠ِنْ خَلْفِهِ وَعَنْ يَ٠ِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِ٠1.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Mu’awiyah ibn ‘Ammar from ‘Amr ibn ‘Akramah from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Every forty houses from the front, back, right and left are neighbors. ’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/575))
