Al-Kāfi - The Book of Taharat (Cleansing) Chapter: The Cleansing Quality of Water َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عُثْ٠َانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْحَضْرَ٠ِيِّ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠َاءِ الْبَحْرِ أَ طَهُورٌ هُوَ قَالَ نَعَ٠5.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ’Isa from ‘Uthman ibn ’Isa from abu Bakr al-Hadramiy who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘Is sea water clean?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘Yes, it is clean.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (13/6))
