Al-Kāfi - The Book of Taharat (Cleansing) Chapter: The Quantity of Water Required for Wudu’, Showers and One Who Is Excessive in the Use of Water for Wudu’ َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ حَ٠ْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) قَالَ يُجْزِئُكَ ٠ِنَ الْغُسْلِ وَالاسْتِنْجَاءِ ٠6.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Yazid ibn Ishaq from Harun ibn Hamzah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘An amount of water which can fill up your right hand is sufficient for your Ghusl (bath) and washing clean your urethra.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (13/68))
