Al-Kāfi - The Book of Taharat (Cleansing) ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ رِبَاطٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الأعْلَى ٠ٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) عَثَرْتُ فَانْقَطَعَ ظُفُرِي فَجَعَلْتُ عَلَى إِصْبَعِي ٠َرَارَةً فَكَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِالْوُضُوءِ قَالَ يُعْرَفُ هَذَا وَأَشْبَاهُهُ ٠ِنْ كِتَابِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ٠ا جَعَلَ عَلَيْكُ٠4.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from Ali ibn al-Hassan ibn Ribat from ‘Abd al-A’la’, Mawla’ Ale Sam who has said the following: “I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘I slipped and my toe nail suffered a cut. I have placed a bitter ointment on my toe.
