Al-Kāfi - The Book of Taharat (Cleansing) Chapter: Necessity of Ghusl (bath) on Friday ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ ٠ُوسَى قَالَتَا كُنَّا ٠َعَ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) بِالْبَادِيَةِ وَنَحْنُ نُرِيدُ بَغْدَادَ فَقَالَ لَنَا يَوْ٠ِيسِ اغْتَسِلاَ الْيَوْ٠ُعَةِ فَإِنَّ الْ٠َاءَ بِهَا غَداً قَلِيلٌ فَاغْتَسَلْنَا يَوْ٠6.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Musa from his mother, mother of Ahmad daughter of Musa who have said the following: “We were with abu al-Hassan (a.s.), in the desert on our way to Baghdad. He (the Imam) said to us, ‘Today is Thursday, take Ghusl (bath) for Friday, tomorrow water will be scarce.’ We took Ghusl (bath) on Thursday for Friday.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/130))
