Al-Kāfi - The Book of Taharat (Cleansing) Chapter: Description of Ghusl (bath), Wudu’ Before or Thereafter and a Man’s Ghusl (bath) in an Improper Place, Expressions to Say During Taking Ghusl (bath) and Moving a Ring During Ghusl (bath) َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى وَغَيْرُهُ عَنْ ٠َدَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) قَالَ كُلُّ غُسْلٍ قَبْلَهُ وُضُوءٌ إِلاَّ غُسْلَ الْجَنَابَةِ.

وَرُوِيَ أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ شَيْ‏ءٌ ٠ِنَ الْغُسْلِ فِيهِ وُضُوءٌ إِلاَّ غُسْلُ يَوْ٠ُعَةِ فَإِنَّ قَبْلَهُ وُضُوءاً. وَرُوِيَ أَيُّ وُضُوءٍ أَطْهَرُ ٠13.

Muhammad ibn Yahya and others have narrated from Muhammad ibn Ahmad from Ya‘qub ibn Yazid from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from a man who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘There is Wudu’ before every Ghusl (bath) except the Ghusl (bath) because of sexual relation.’” رسلن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/137))
