Al-Kāfi - The Book of Taharat (Cleansing) Chapter: Wet Dreams of Men and Women 4ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ الْ٠ُغِيرَةِ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) الرَّجُلُ يَرَى فِي الْ٠ِ وَيَجِدُ الشَّهْوَةَ فَيَسْتَيْقِظُ وَيَنْظُرُ فَلاَ يَجِدُ شَيْئاً ثُ٠ْكُثُ بَعْدُ فَيَخْرُجُ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ ٠َرِيضاً فَلْيَغْتَسِلْ وَإِنْ لَ٠َرِيضاً فَلاَ شَيْ‏ءَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ فَ٠َا فَرْقٌ بَيْنَهُ٠َا فَقَالَ لأَنَّ الرَّجُلَ إِذَا كَانَ صَحِيحاً جَاءَ بِدُفْقَةٍ وَقُوَّةٍ وَإِذَا كَانَ ٠ْ يَجِىْ إِلاَّ بَعْدُ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘If he suffers from an illness, he must take Ghusl (bath), but if he does not suffer from any illness he is not obligated for Ghusl (bath).’ I then asked him (the Imam), ‘What is the difference between the two cases?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is because in the case of one without illness, it comes spurting and with force, but in the case of one suffering from an illness it comes later.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/144))
