Al-Kāfi - The Book of Taharat (Cleansing) Chapter: Dogs Touching Clothes, Body and So On َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنِ الْعَ٠ْرَكِيِّ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ النَّيْسَابُورِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَخِيهِ ٠ُوسَى (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْفَأْرَةِ الرَّطْبَةِ قَدْ وَقَعَتْ فِي الْ٠ْشِي عَلَى الثِّيَابِ أَ يُصَلَّى فِيهَا قَالَ اغْسِلْ ٠ِنْ أَثَرِهَا وَ٠ْ تَرَهُ فَانْضَحْهُ بِالْ٠3.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from al-‘Amrakiy ibn Ali al-Naysaburiy from Ali ibn Ja‘far from his brother, Musa (a.s.), has said the following: “I once asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), about a mouse that has fallen in water and then walks on clothes. Can one perform Salah (prayer) in such clothes?

He (the Imam) said, ‘Wash to clean the marks that you find and what you do not find just pour water on them.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (13/169))
