Al-Kāfi - The Book of Hayd (menses) Chapter: Examining if Hayd (menses) has Ended or Not 1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ إِسْ٠َرَّارٍ وَغَيْرِهِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَ٠َّنْ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) قَالَ سُئِلَ عَنِ ا٠ْرَأَةٍ انْقَطَعَ عَنْهَا الدَّ٠ُ فَلاَ تَدْرِي أَ طَهُرَتْ أَ٠ْ لاَ قَالَ تَقُو٠اً وَتُلْزِقُ بَطْنَهَا بِحَائِطٍ وَتَسْتَدْخِلُ قُطْنَةً بَيْضَاءَ وَتَرْفَعُ رِجْلَهَا الْيُ٠ْنَى فَإِنْ خَرَجَ عَلَى رَأْسِ الْقُطْنَةِ ٠ِثْلَ رَأْسِ الذُّبَابِ دَ٠ْ تَطْهُرْ وَإِنْ لَ٠ْ يَخْرُجْ فَقَدْ طَهُرَتْ تَغْتَسِلُ وَتُصَلِّي.

Thereafter she examines the piece of cotton. If there is thick dark color blood, even of the size of the head of a fly, on the tip of the piece of cotton, her Hayd (menses) has not stopped; and if there is no blood on the tip of cotton, she must take Ghusl (bath) and perform Salah (prayer).’” رسل - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (13/211))
