Al-Kāfi - The Book of Hayd (menses) Chapter: Blood Discharge after a Woman’s Experiencing Discharge-Free Period after Childbirth and Blood Discharge before Birth or after Childbirth َّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله عَنْ ٠ُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ حُكَيْ٠ٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْ٠ُغِيرَةِ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الأوَّلِ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠ْرَأَةٍ نَفِسَتْ فَتَرَكَتِ الصَّلاَةَ ثَلاَثِينَ يَوْ٠َّ تَطَهَّرَتْ ثُ٠َ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ تَدَعُ الصَّلاَةَ لأَنَّ أَيَّا٠ُ الطُّهْرِ وَقَدْ جَازَتْ أَيَّا٠1.

Muhammad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah has narrated from Mu‘awiyah ibn Hukaym from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan, al-Awwal (a.s.), was asked about a woman who after childbirth stops performing Salah (prayer) for thirty days, then finds a discharge-free period and finds blood discharge thereafter again.

He (the Imam) said, ‘She must stop performing Salah (prayer) because her days are those of Hayd (menses)-free period and the number of days of period of childbirth has already passed.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (13/242))
