Al-Kāfi - The Book on Dying People Chapter: Causes of Death and that Believing People May Die by any Manner of Dying َاعِيلَ عَنْ سَعْدَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠ِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ الْحُ٠َوْتِ وَهُوَ سِجْنُ الله فِي الأرْضِ وَهُوَ حَظُّ الْ٠3.

Muhammad has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Isma’il from Sa‘dan ibn Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following: ‘Alayhi al-Salam, saying: “I heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), say that fever is the harbinger of death; it is the prison of Allah on earth and the share of a believing person from the fire.” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/259))
